First Stage Friday - EK's Young Talent

This year at Fun Field Festival 2026 we are bringing something new, very new, for the Friday Night!!

We are opening the stage up to the new talent of the East Kootenays, some of these kids have never performed in front of an audience before and definitely not a festival audience!

Fernie, Sparwood, Cranbrook, Jaffray — the East Kootenays are full of talent that the world hasn't heard yet. Friday July 3rd is their night, they are taking the music from the classrooms, the basements, the bedrooms and they are bringing it to the Fun Field Festival stage. Come be part of it.

Prizes will be up for grabs donated by local businesses, but honestly the biggest prize is them getting up there and having an audience appreciate their talent. We'll also have an open mic for anyone else in the crowd who's ready to take the leap.
