KIDS FUN AT FUN FIELD FESTIVAL
FFF is all about whimsy and fun in a field and that means there's got to be lots of great stuff for kids to do. Here are some of what you can expect to see at FFF but stay tuned - there's plenty more to come!
PONY RIDES 1PM-3PM SATURDAY
The amazing team at Freedom Equine Association will be coming along to offer pony rides to kids aged 5-13. The lovely Simone will be bringing out 4 ponies to take the kids on mini trail rides. This will all be happening from 1PM-3PM - get there early as there is always a line up!
MARACA MAKING WITH RACHEL 11AM-NOON SATURDAY
Get ready to join the parade with your very own noise making Maraca. Everyone is welcome for this craft fun, make your Maraca, paint it how you like and then get ready to shake it all around the FFF parade!
There will be some fun music by a local DJ playing to get you in the mood to craft and join the parade!
FUN WITH SAND
There will be some live sand sculpting art presented by local Fernie artist Marie-Line Gagne and there will be an interactive area where kids will have a chance to try some sand art fun!
Watch the sculpture emerge throughout the weekend!
FERNIE PRIDE SOCIETY
Fun Field Festival is an all inclusive event and we are so happy to have the Fernie Pride Society at FFF 2025 spreading some rainbow love. Swing by their tent for some face painting and lots of good vibes!
SONIA ROY MUSIC
At FFF 2024 Sonia helped the kids learn a song and then got them up on stage with Fernie's own Dukes of Pectin to perform to the crowd. Sonia will be doing more musical activities with kids this year - more details to come!
MS ANIE'S HIP HAP HOP - 1PM & 2:45PM SATURDAY
You may recognize Ms Anie from the Juice Box Social Club or any of the countless other community fun that she is involved in and we are so happy to have her at FFF 2026 with Ms Anie's Hip Hap Hop. Come by for different activities from Grasshopper stories to sing-alongs!
Check out the Grasshopper Photo Bingo Board too for some family fun you can do in your own time! Anie will be doing 2 sessions at 1PM and 2:45PM so mark your festival calendars!
KIDS GAMES & CRAFTS NOON-5PM
At FFF 2026 we will have a craft tent where kids can make hand held totems of our mascot GARY the GRASSHOPPER and other easy and fun crafts. There will be a games area too with lots of activities to keep the little ones engaged and having fun!
BUTTONS & BEYOND - NOON-5PM
BCG Cranbrook will be bringing their button-making station, where guests can create their own custom designs. Choose from blank templates to draw and color your own unique button, or pick from a wide selection of pre-printed designs for a quick and easy creation. It’s a fun, hands-on activity for all ages!
NATURE CRAFT ACTIVITIES WITH KIDS - NOON-5PM
KIDS is made up of caring, dedicated individuals who are passionate about supporting children and families in meaningful, everyday ways. They work alongside families and communities to help children feel confident, capable, and supported. Come see the KIDS tent at FFF 2026 for some nature craft fun!
